LESSON 1 · Smart Money Habits That Stick

Start at $25

The biggest mistake people make is waiting until they can save a "meaningful" amount. There's no minimum threshold for building a habit. $25 from each biweekly paycheck adds up to $650 a year. That's a starter emergency fund. It's also proof to yourself that you can save consistently — and that identity shift matters more than the dollar amount.

Once $25 feels invisible, bump it to $50. Then $75. You're training your spending to fit a smaller container. Most people find they can save 10-15% of their income without any lifestyle change — they were just wasting that money on forgettable purchases.
