LESSON 3 · Ace Any Job Interview

The Hook Paragraph

Your opening line needs exactly one thing: make the reader want line two. Generic openings like "I am writing to apply for this role" kill momentum instantly. You have one sentence to earn attention before the hiring manager moves to the next file in the stack.

Lead with a specific achievement or something the company recently did. "When your team launched Product X, I noticed you solved the problem I spent two years tackling myself." Specific beats generic every time.
