LESSON 4 · Ace Any Job Interview
The Cold Message Formula
A cold note works when it is short and specific. Lead with why them — a role, team, or recent launch. Add your strongest fit signal in one line, then make a small ask. Example: "I saw you lead growth at Company X. I scaled a similar B2B product to $5M ARR — would a 15-minute roadmap chat be useful?"

Make it easy to say yes. Keep the ask under two minutes of effort, and do not attach a resume to a cold message. Offer to send one only if they are interested. The lower the friction, the more likely a busy person is to reply instead of postponing you forever.
