The Thank-You Pitch

A thank-you email is not a courtesy; it is your final pitch while the room is still deciding. Send it within 24 hours, reference one real detail from the conversation, and add value instead of generic gratitude. Then wait for the written offer before committing to anything out loud.

Weak: "Thanks for your time." Strong: "Thanks for the conversation about scaling support. I sketched a first-30-days plan — happy to send it over." Write a separate note to each interviewer, swapping in the detail only that person mentioned.
