Why Reconnections Fail
Most reactivation messages die for three reasons: they are copy-pasted, they open with an ask, or they reference nothing specific. Fix all three before sending. If you cannot name one concrete detail, do ninety seconds of LinkedIn research first.

A dormant contact responds better when your note is short and timed to a real reason: a new job, a milestone, or something they shared. Keep it to a few lines. A long message feels like work to answer, and busy people quietly postpone work.
