The Question Upgrades

The shape of a question controls the answer. Swap 'Does that make sense?' (invites doubt) for 'What questions do you have?' Swap 'Any feedback?' (invites 'Looked great!') for 'Where did my work fall short of your expectations?' (invites real feedback).

Neither upgrade requires any courage at all. Both just require pre-writing the question once and deploying it when the old version tries to escape your mouth. After a handful of uses, the new version becomes your default.
