Summarize to Lead

The person who says the decisions out loud at the end of a meeting is read as the leader, whatever their title. Try it next week. Thirty seconds before the end, say "Before we wrap, here is what I heard us commit to," then list owners and dates.

Most people skip this because they fear getting a detail wrong and looking foolish. They will not. A wrong detail gets corrected on the spot, and the correction makes the room sharper. You get credit either way.
