LESSON 1 · Thrive Working Remote

The Three-Block Day

Remote workers who out-produce their office counterparts share one move: they split the day into three defended blocks instead of one long scroll.

  • Morning block (90-120 min): the hardest task, notifications off.
  • Afternoon block (90 min): meetings, replies, and reviews batched together.
  • Closing block (60 min): shutdown, tomorrow-planning, inbox zero.

The blocks are boring. That's the point — your brain stops negotiating with itself every twenty minutes about whether to check Slack.
