LESSON 2 · Thrive Working Remote
The Documentation Habit
In remote work, if it's not documented, it didn't happen. After every important conversation, send a brief summary: "Here's what we discussed and agreed on."
This habit does three things: it prevents misunderstandings, creates a searchable record, and shows professional thoroughness. Use a consistent format — Decision, Action Items, Owner, Deadline — so colleagues learn to rely on your summaries. Over time, you become the person everyone trusts to keep things straight.
