The Evening Bookend

The morning ritual has a twin. Where shutdown closes the mental loop, the evening bookend closes the physical one. Leave the workspace as if leaving an office: stand up, walk out, shut the door if you can. A boundary you can feel beats one you only intend to keep.

No spare room? Give your brain a visual switch. Drape a cloth over the desk, wheel the chair away, or put the laptop out of sight. Out of sight, out of mind cuts both ways: when work disappears from view, it loosens its grip faster than a calendar note.
