LESSON 5 · Build a Reputation That Precedes You

The Reputation Engine

Your reputation runs on four moving parts:

  • Behavior — what you do consistently
  • Visibility — how people see it
  • Feedback loops — what you measure
  • Adjustments — what you change next

Run the engine monthly. Book a 30-minute reputation review: which promise did your work make this month, who saw proof of it, and what came back through feedback? Then tweak one behavior for the next month. The first round feels awkward because you are making the invisible explicit. By the third, the review becomes a calm operating rhythm instead of a self-promotion exercise.
