Pay attention to the ordinary moments you would normally tune out, because that is where someone lets slip what they actually need.

Stay curious in every conversation. Ask follow-up questions — the best opportunities emerge when people feel genuinely heard. Small talk is the bridge, not the destination: use it to surface a shared thread, then go deeper.
