LESSON 4 · Break Through Brain Fog

Build Systems, Skip the Struggle

If willpower is shaky, the answer is not to try to summon more of it. It is to build systems that remove the need for it. A system is any setup that makes the right action happen without a fresh decision: a standing grocery order, a phone that charges in another room, a gym bag packed the night before.

Each one quietly handles a choice you would otherwise have to win on the spot. The difference is huge. Willpower asks you to decide and resist every single time. A good system decides once, then runs on its own — so your attention stays free for the work that truly needs your judgment.
