LESSON 1 · Master Your Time

Track and Improve

The Pomodoro Technique gets stronger when you track it. Record completed pomodoros, interruptions, and tasks that took longer than expected; the pattern tells you what to adjust tomorrow.

After one week of tracking, you will have a realistic estimate of how many pomodoros your day can hold. Many people find the true number is closer to 8-12 productive ones in an 8-hour day — about 3-5 hours of focused work — and that is normal. Knowing your range lets you plan realistically instead of overcommitting.
