Put batching to work in 3 steps: track every task switch for one day, pick the worst offender, then block a calendar batch with everything else closed.

Batching feels wrong at first, because modern work rewards constant availability. But availability is not productivity. The people who do the most valuable work are rarely the fastest to reply — they guard long, quiet stretches and let their best thinking happen there.
