LESSON 5 · The Habit Machine

What Gets Measured Gets Done

Habit tracking is not just a nice-to-have — it is a proven accelerator of behavior change.

The mechanism is simple. Tracking creates a small feedback loop between intention and action. Each checkmark reinforces identity — "I am someone who does this." Each skipped day, noticed on the tracker, prompts a private correction. Without a log, skipped days blur into forgotten days.
