The Starting Line Matters

Often the hardest part is simply starting. Once you take the first visible step, the task stops being an abstract threat and becomes a concrete sequence. That does not guarantee completion, but it gives momentum something to attach to.

The 2-minute rule works because it lowers the starting cost: open the document, put on the shoes, wash one dish, write the first sentence. A tiny start is not the whole task. It is the doorway into it.
