Batch Processing Email

Batch processing means checking email at set times instead of reacting to every notification in real time. Most people check email far more often than they realize, and each glance pulls focus away from real work.

A common schedule is to process email at 9 AM, 1 PM, and 4 PM. Turn off all email notifications between sessions. If something is truly urgent, people will call or message you directly. Most "urgent" emails are not actually urgent; they just feel that way.
