Capture Everything That Matters

The first step in building your second brain is capturing. When you read an article, hear a podcast insight, or have an idea in the shower, get it into your system immediately.

Be selective about what you capture. Not everything deserves a place in your second brain. Forte recommends saving only what matters — information that surprises you, challenges your assumptions, or clearly connects to a current project or interest. Quality of capture beats quantity every time.
