The Five-Question Check-In

Every week, set aside 15-20 minutes to answer five questions in writing. Writing matters because it forces precision that thinking alone does not.

  • What did I commit to this week? List your planned critical actions.
  • What did I actually accomplish? Be brutally honest.
  • What got in the way? Identify specific obstacles, not excuses.
  • What will I do differently next week? One concrete adjustment.
  • What are my top three priorities? Name them now.

This ritual takes less time than a single episode of television, and few habits do more for your goals.
