LESSON 3 · Manage Energy, Not Time

Match the Break

Not every break does the same job. Pick the one that fixes what's actually worn out:

  • Physical breaks — walking or stretching restore body energy and blood flow to the brain
  • Social breaks — a quick non-work chat lifts mood after hours alone
  • Nature breaks — time outside refills focus faster than anything else

So after heavy analysis, walk outside. After a long stretch of solo work, find a short chat. Match the break to the deficit and you get far more from the same minutes.
