LESSON 1 · Speak Without Fear
Your Social Alarm System
Stage fright often feels bigger than the real danger because public speaking combines visibility, evaluation, and uncertainty. The body treats social risk seriously, even when the room is safe.

The reason is evolutionary and social. For early humans, group acceptance mattered for survival, so being watched and judged could feel dangerous. Modern presentations are not exile, but the body can still react as if status and belonging are at stake.
