LESSON 1 · From Mumbling to Commanding

The Jaw Problem

Most mumblers speak with the jaw barely open. Here is the test: stack two fingers and slot them between your teeth. That gap is roughly how far your jaw should drop on open vowels like ah and oh.

Most people open less than one finger width. That cramped space is where clear vowels go to die.

A tight jaw muffles vowels and squashes consonants together. The fix is to teach your mouth a bigger default opening through slow, deliberate articulation practice.
