Build a Hook Library
Keep a running stash of openers you can pull from anytime:
- Startling stats from your field — refresh them so they never go stale.
- Mini-stories from daily life that carry a universal lesson.
- Sharp questions that challenge an assumption without putting anyone on the spot.
Test them on a friend. If they lean in and say "Wait, what?" you've got a keeper. Write five hooks for every talk and keep only the strongest — the first idea is rarely the best one.
