The Forgotten Finale

Most speeches end with a whimper. "So, yeah, that's pretty much it" is not a call to action — it is a surrender. Audiences tend to pay closest attention at the very start and the very end of a talk, yet speakers routinely waste those final seconds.

A strong call to action turns a passive audience into active participants. Without it, even a brilliant talk becomes entertainment that fades from memory. The call to action is where information becomes transformation.
