LESSON 3 · Build Any Speech

The Emotional Close

The best calls to action connect logic to emotion. After explaining what to do, explain why it matters personally. "This saves you two hours a week" is logical. "Consider what you'd do with two extra hours every week" is emotional — and drives far more action.

Circling back to your opening hook creates a satisfying narrative arc. If you opened with a failed-presentation story, close with what that person did differently next time. The callback makes the call to action feel natural.
