Applying the Rule
To apply the Rule of Three, list out everything you want to say. Then ruthlessly cut until only three core points remain. If you cannot get to three, group related ideas under three umbrella themes. This constraint forces clarity and strips out filler.

Practice in low-stakes settings first. When someone asks about your weekend, give three highlights. When writing an email, use three paragraphs. Over time, thinking in threes becomes automatic — and your message lands every time.
