LESSON 5 · Storytelling That Captivates

Emotional Close

An emotional close turns the message into a specific image, choice, or feeling the audience can carry. Abstract advice fades faster than a moment they can picture.

A graduation speech that ends on "good luck out there" is easy to forget. End instead on the worn library chair where something finally clicked, then name what that small moment taught about starting over. The specific image is what they feel; the shared truth is what they keep.
