The Other Three

Three levers round out the toolkit, and each leans on a different instinct:

  • Commitment — once people say yes to something small, they want to stay consistent, so a bigger yes comes easier later.
  • Authority — we defer to credible experts; a title, a uniform, or a track record lowers our guard.
  • Liking — we say yes to people we know, trust, and find similar far more readily than to strangers.

Mix these with reciprocity, social proof, and scarcity and you have the full set.
