LESSON 3 · The Feedback Loop

The Feedback Invitation

The strongest move is to ask for feedback before anything goes wrong. End a meeting or project with one question: What is one thing I could do differently next time? It is specific, forward-looking, and assumes there is always room to improve. When you ask consistently, two things happen. First, people give you small, useful notes instead of saving up frustrations until they burst. Second, asking becomes safe for everyone, so they start inviting feedback too.
