Target fossilized errors with these strategies:
- Record yourself for five minutes and have a teacher or advanced speaker identify patterns
- Focus on one error per week — trying to fix everything at once fixes nothing
- Create correction sentences you say aloud daily until the correct form replaces the old habit
- Learn collocations as units: "make a decision," not "make" + "decision" separately
- Use a grammar checker on your writing to catch errors you no longer notice.
