Words That Belong Together
You say "make a decision," not "do a decision." You say "heavy rain," not "strong rain." These pairings are called collocations, and they are one of the biggest differences between fluent and textbook English.

Collocations are not grammar rules. They are habits of the language. English speakers have heard "heavy rain" a thousand times, so "strong rain" sounds jarring even though it is technically logical. Your goal is not to understand why these pairs exist but to absorb them until they feel automatic.
