LESSON 2 · Find Your Power Voice

Becoming a Magnetic Speaker

Develop captivating delivery through deliberate practice:

  • Record TED talks and study how master speakers use pitch, pace, and pause. Mimic their patterns
  • Practice vocal variety — read children's stories aloud with exaggerated expression. This stretches your vocal range in a low-stakes way
  • Open with a hook — start with a surprising fact, a question, or a brief story that creates curiosity
  • Use concrete language — replace abstract concepts with vivid images. "Millions of people" becomes "enough people to fill every stadium in the country"
  • End with power — your last words linger longest.
