LESSON 1 · Voice Care Essentials

Voice production involves a three-part system:

  • Power source (lungs and diaphragm) — provide the airflow that drives vibration. Better breath support means better vocal control
  • Vibrator (vocal folds) — convert airflow into sound waves. Their tension and thickness determine pitch
  • Resonators (throat, mouth, sinuses) — shape and amplify the raw sound into your unique voice. Adjusting these changes your tone quality

Think of it like a trumpet. Your lungs are the air supply. Your vocal folds are the mouthpiece. Your throat and mouth are the bell. Each component can be trained independently, and improving any one improves the whole system.
