LESSON 2 · The Daily Voice Warm-Up

Seasonal Voice Adjustments

Your voice responds to seasonal changes more than you realize. Winter brings dry heated indoor air that dehydrates vocal tissue. Summer air conditioning creates a similar drying effect. Spring allergies cause inflammation and excess mucus that interfere with clean vocal production.

Adjust your morning routine by season. In winter, add steam inhalation or a hot shower with humming. In spring, manage allergies proactively to keep your airway clear. Year-round, monitor indoor humidity and keep it between forty and sixty percent for optimal vocal fold hydration.
