LESSON 3 · Deeper, Richer, Magnetic

Warmth Signals Safety

Warmth is what makes a listener feel safe and connected. A cold, sharp tone pushes people away even when the words are welcoming, while a warm tone draws them in even when the topic is hard. Listeners read tone faster than meaning, so how you sound lands before what you say.

The shortcut is your own state. Speak with a slight smile and a relaxed jaw, as if you are talking to someone you genuinely care about. Your voice reflects how you feel more honestly than your words ever can, so feeling warm is the most reliable way to sound warm.
