Make It a Habit

Turn these into reflexes:

  • Ask "what's the evidence?" — not aggressively, just curiously
  • Check the source — who funded it, who published it, what is their record
  • Find the original study — headlines distort findings; read the abstract
  • Beware single studies — science is a body of work, not one experiment
  • Separate correlation from causation — together is not the same as caused
  • Update when better evidence arrives — strong thinkers change their minds
