Turn these into reflexes:
- Ask "what's the evidence?" — not aggressively, just curiously
- Check the source — who funded it, who published it, what is their record
- Find the original study — headlines distort findings; read the abstract
- Beware single studies — science is a body of work, not one experiment
- Separate correlation from causation — together is not the same as caused
- Update when better evidence arrives — strong thinkers change their minds
