LESSON 4 · Question Everything

One Honest Habit

The hardest part of thinking like a scientist is not the testing. It is staying honest when the result is not what you hoped.

Say you feel tired every afternoon and suspect your large lunch. Eat a smaller lunch for a week and track your energy. If the tiredness disappears, you have a provisional answer. If it persists, the discipline is to reject your guess and try another — not to defend the idea you started with.
