LESSON 3 · Stay Sharp Under Pressure

Your Information Filter

Protect your decision-making capacity from overload:

  • Curate your inputs — drop sources that inform without enabling action. News you cannot act on is entertainment, not intelligence
  • Batch your intake — check news, email, and updates at set times, not continuously
  • Use the two-minute rule — if a fact will not change a decision you face in the next two minutes, you do not need it now
  • Trust good-enough — for reversible, low-stakes choices, decide quickly and move on

The paradox of the information age: access to everything makes it harder to know.
