LESSON 3 · Life's Big Crossroads

The goal is not to remove emotion from relationship decisions but to ensure it does not operate alone. The best relationship decisions combine emotional wisdom — how you genuinely feel over time, not just in heated moments — with structural analysis of compatibility.

Ask yourself four questions. First: do our core values align on the issues that matter most — money, children, religion, lifestyle? Second: when we disagree, do we resolve conflict in ways that leave both people feeling heard? Third: am I growing as a person in this relationship, or shrinking?

Fourth and hardest: am I staying because I want to, or because I am afraid to leave?
