The emotional attachment to doing everything yourself feels productive, but it caps your impact at whatever one person can accomplish alone.
Effective delegation follows a simple rule: if someone else can do the task at least 80% as well as you, hand it off. The remaining quality gap is almost always smaller than the cost of spending your time here instead of on work only you can do.
Start with one task this week. Define the outcome clearly, hand over full ownership, and resist the urge to micromanage. The first attempt may not match your standard, and that is the price of scaling beyond yourself.
