Building a Delegation Practice
Make delegation a systematic habit, not a last resort when you are drowning.
Weekly audit. Every Friday, list everything you did that week. Mark anything that clears the 80% bar for someone else. That list is your delegation backlog.
Tier your work. Sort tasks into three buckets: only you can do it, someone else could with training, or someone else should already be doing it. The middle bucket pays back fastest.
Give outcomes, not instructions. "I need the client report by Thursday with these three sections" lets your delegate exercise judgment. Micromanaging the steps teaches them nothing.
