Tools for Frustration
Frustration is the emotion of a blocked goal. Something you want is not happening, and the obstacle feels immovable. Frustration builds pressure until it drives problem-solving or explodes into rage.
Reframe the obstacle: ask "What is this teaching me?" Frustration often contains valuable feedback about your approach that you would miss if the path were smooth.
Break the goal into the smallest next step. Completing one micro-step releases dopamine and breaks the cycle. Then channel the physical charge — redirect into cleaning, exercise, or a task you have been avoiding. The energy itself is useful; only the target needs to change.
