Reading Body Signals

The first step to calming the alarm is simply noticing it is on. Most of us have been stressed for so long that we stop feeling it — the clenched jaw, the high shoulders, the shallow chest breaths all start to feel like normal background life.

Run a quick body scan for clenched jaw, quick chest breathing, raised shoulders, queasy stomach, or cold hands. These are stress fingerprints, not random aches.
