Repairs You Might Miss

Many repair attempts go unrecognized because they don't look like apologies.

Your partner might crack a joke during tension, reach for your hand after an argument, or ask an unrelated question to break the tension. These are all bids to reconnect.

When your partner shifts tone or offers a small gesture mid-fight, they're attempting repair. Your job is to accept the bid even if you're still upset. Meeting it halfway is how arguments end in connection rather than cold silence.
