Guilt Boundary

The biggest enemy of boundaries isn't other people — it's your own guilt. You set a boundary, your partner looks hurt, and suddenly you're apologizing for having needs.

Guilt after setting a boundary is normal, but it's not a signal you did something wrong. It's the echo of old conditioning. Your nervous system learned that saying "no" meant losing love. Each time you hold a boundary despite the guilt, the guilt gets quieter.
