Control Disguised as Love
Controlling behavior often wears a mask of care. "I just worry about you" becomes monitoring your location. "I want us to spend more time together" becomes isolating you from friends. Love expands your world. Control shrinks it.

Key distinction: a partner who expresses a preference ("I'd love it if you texted when you're running late") is different from a partner who demands compliance ("You need to tell me where you are at all times"). One is a request. The other is surveillance.
