LESSON 3 · Boundaries That Protect Love

When to Walk Away

Boundaries work when both people are willing to grow. They fail when one person consistently violates them without remorse.

Leaving isn't failure. Staying in a dynamic that requires you to abandon yourself to survive is not love — it's captivity with a nicer name. If reading this lesson made your stomach tighten about a specific person, take that signal seriously and make a safe plan: talk to a trusted person, document what is happening, and seek professional or crisis support before confronting a controlling partner.
