LESSON 4 · Keep the Fire Alive

The Invisible Erosion

Date night fails when couples assume love should run on autopilot. That belief quietly erodes more relationships than people realize: not with one dramatic betrayal, but through years of neglect, logistics, and emotional drift.

A relationship is not maintained by history. It is maintained by repeated attention. Date night is one way to put attention back on the calendar before distance becomes the default.

Think of it this way: you schedule work meetings, doctor appointments, and haircuts. Why? Because they matter. If your relationship matters — and it's the foundation of your entire family structure — it gets a calendar slot. Period.
