LESSON 1 · Dating Smart After 30

The Post-Breakup Timeline

Rushing into dating after a major breakup almost guarantees you repeat old patterns. A common rule of thumb suggests waiting roughly one month for every year the relationship lasted before dating seriously again.

During this time, the work is internal. Identify your contribution to the relationship ending — not blame, contribution. What did you tolerate that you shouldn't have? What did you fail to say? What warning signs did you ignore?

The goal isn't punishment. It's entering your next relationship as a wiser version of yourself, not just a lonelier one. People who do this work date with clarity. People who skip it date from desperation.
